Microsoft Office

Microsoft Office is well established as being the 'standard' application for producing documents, creating spreadsheets and making presentations for example. But if you are a home user, and don't really need the most advanced features of MS Office, there are several less expensive alternatives - i.e. FREE!

MS Office Online

Microsoft have created Office Online which, together with One Drive, enables the creation, storage and sharing of  documents, spreadsheets and presentations. It is FREE but you wil need to sign up for a Microsoft Account to use it.

One Drive is installed of Windows8 and is part of the suite of online services formerly known as Windows Live. It allows users to keep the files private, share them with contacts, or make the files public. Publicly shared files do not require a Microsoft account to access.

Users will need for to sign up to a Google Account and all files created are saved by default to Google Drive.
