Yoga is about increasing health and happiness in our lives, so this course will introduce you to the foundations of yoga in an accessible, supportive and enjoyable way! We will explore the postures (asanas), the breath (pranayama) and some gentle meditation techniques. Yoga is physical, but it’s very much a journey of self-discovery so please be assured that from wherever you’re at, each posture offers many modifications to enable you to explore and develop a better understanding and love for your body, gaining strength and flexibility along the way.

A bit of background about Sue:

Having tried yoga a few times throughout my life and concluded I was just not bendy, I’ve been fortunate to happen upon an approach that encourages you to work with your body from where you’re at, kindly and gradually, using principles of correct alignment to grow into postures safely and enjoyably. I’m much healthier and happier as a result, and stronger and more flexible – physically and mentally!

It’s a beautiful approach to explore yoga and, having completed my 200 hour teacher training, I’m excited to offer my first beginner course in the smaller room at Hampsthwaite Memorial Hall – a lovely space to practise yoga – so please do get in touch if you’re interested in joining me.

Namaste!
