| Hampsthwaite Manor (House) (site of?)The term "Manor" may sometimes refer to a building but, more strictly, it describes an area of land over which a landowner enjoyed manorial rights. Such an owner, however, would often have a Manor "house" standing on the land and this might often be an important building in its locality. Did Hampsthwaite have such a Manor House?
